"Karakuri" is a Japanese word that means "mechanism". It originally meant all machineries introduced to Japan from the West and China, but in modern times this word often signifies classic dolls and retro toys that move amusingly via simple mechanism like cams or cranks. The following are "karakuri paper craft" into which I especially put my heart.
